Envy Landscape Design transformed our small yard into an inviting modern retreat that gets compliments from everyone who visits. Petr was easy to work with and really listened to how we wanted to use the space. He then came up with an amazing design that fit an outdoor dining area, a built-in grill, a water feature with sitting area, a fire pit with seating area, a small herb garden and two storage areas into our small yard. One of the storage areas was his suggestion and it was a perfect use of the space, freeing up more room in our garage while adding an attractive wood element to the yard. I have never seen a more reliable, hardworking team. They started the construction right on schedule and stayed on schedule. The attention to detail from improving the drainage to piecing together natural stone to make a magnificent 5 x 8 ft water wall is so impressive. The pergola is a masterpiece drawing one towards the cozy sitting area. The final invoice matched up well with the estimate with the only difference being upgrades in the materials and additional labor associated with those choices that we asked for and are very happy with. We chose Envy to design and rebuild our entire backyard, and we are extremely happy that we picked Petr and his team. They are an incredibly skilled group and it was amazing to watch the project come together. We didn't have a complete vision for what we wanted when we first met Petr, just something slightly more modern, with a pool, some places for the kids to play, and a better overall use of the space than the design that existed when we bought the house. Petr was able to take those limited directions and produce a beautiful plan, with two pergolas, a fire-it, a modern kitchen, garden, kids play space (with a chalkboard), and a number of fruit trees and bushes. He worked with the pool company and did all the legwork to get the entire project up and running. We had the most wonderful experience with Envy. We have done a couple large house projects so we know what these things can be like. These guys were great to work with. We had them replace and expand a large deck off the back of our house. We mostly had the idea of what we wanted to do but Petr was very helpful in fleshing out the design. Jan and the guys did great work on the craftsmanship. As construction usually goes, we ran into an issue where the handrail we wanted wasn’t feasible. Envy Landscape recently finished a complete remodel of our backyard and front yard and I wanted to express my thanks for a job well done. It took my wife and I several weeks to figure out exactly what we wanted and Petr was there to answer our questions and help us with design concepts. We had an amazing experience working with Envy Design on the backyard in our new construction home. We started with nothing but dirt and now have an unbelievable space that came in on time and on budget. We met with seven different companies and Petr was the only one who brought back a design that incorporated his unique aesthetic and also included every element and feature we asked for. If you are lucky enough to contract with this company for your project, one of the things you will like the most is that your designer is also the owner of the company, who is also the foreman of the construction crew and is on site every day to consult and collaborate with. I've heard horror stories from friends who worked with larger companies where they had separate relationships with a salesman, a designer, a project manager and a foreman and had significant problems trying to communicate issues and fix problems. In our case, everything started and stopped with Petr. If his crew completed a day's work and something didn't look right or was in the wrong place, he was there to consult with and he was extremely accommodating when it came to making a change or a fix. I also heard from several people that whatever your budget is, you should plan on spending 20% more and taking a third longer than the deadline you agreed on. That was not the case with Envy Design. Once we agreed on a design, the materials and a price he delivered exactly what the contract called for with no hidden costs or contingency fees. If we asked for an additional feature, he simply quoted a cost and added changes as we needed them. His crew showed up on the first day and was there every day until it finished. On a three month long project, we were only off our completion time by two weeks and all of the delays were related to the pool company and subs that were out of Envy's control. Petr and Honza were also a great help in working with and managing the sub contractors. They recommended the company who built the pool and when one of their subs did a really poor job on the tile for our spa due to not having the proper equipment, Petr stepped in and negotiated with the pool Project Manager to have it completely redone at no cost to us. We got an amazing finished product at a reasonable price and had a very smooth and problem free experience thanks to the high quality, professional work and trusted experience of Envy Design.
